Lent Day 17

Good morning!

Our Scripture today comes from Psalm 31:3 and 1 Samuel 2:1-10.

Today, we are talking about being "between a rock and a hard place." It's a tough place to be. It's a place where difficult choices have to be made, sometimes as the expense of ourselves or others. Fortunately, we rely on the promises of God!

Jesus has been "between a rock and a hard place"! He suffered on the cross, died, was buried with a massive stone blocking the entrance to his tomb, but he rose and the stone was rolled away! Jesus is our Rock and Redeemer. In faith, it becomes a good thing when we are between the Rock and a hard place because we know Jesus is always with us, inviting us to walk in his steps.

We are asked to write a prayer thanking Jesus for saving us from those "between a rock and a hard place" places.

My Lord, my Rock, I am thankful that you become the place that I can look to for guidance and safety in this world that is full of trials and temptations. Thank you for blessing me and all who call on your name with your grace, mercy, compassion, and love. Amen.

Don't forget to come join us this morning for PANCAKES!!! We're here at the church from 8-10!

Blessings,

Pastor Jesse
