Elementary

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)

Preschool

We offer group learning during both Sunday services for 3-5 year olds designed to build a solid moral and spiritual foundation.  Children are provided an opportunity to play, do a craft, have a snack and teachers encourage children to pray with them and answer questions from Bible stories.  We want children to know and feel God’s love as well as connect with their church family.

Elementary

We offer a  worship and learning program during both Sunday service hours for elementary children (K-5th grade) designed to build a solid moral character and begin their faith foundation.  Kids will experience God’s family in their age-appropriate Small Groups and then learn to praise God in the energy-filled Large Group worship time.  The lessons engage their interests while help them learn to trust God’s character.

  • Kids Praise Choir – Children learn new songs to share in “big church”, play handbells or prepare special musicals to share with the congregation.
  • Acts of Service – Children are given the opportunity to serve their church, community, and world through a variety of service projects.

OTHER CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS:

Easter Worship and Egg Hunt:

EUMC has a special service for the Saturday before Easter.  All children are welcome in the worship service and childcare will be provided in the Nursery for ages 3 and below.

Children will hunt for eggs with a “hunting bag” with a color on it.  This is the color egg the child is looking for.  Their goal is to find 12 of those color empty eggs.  They will then proceed to the check-out table and get their goody bag!

Included in the goody bag are instructions and symbols to make their own set of Resurrection Eggs as well as TOYS and CANDY!

Each child is also allowed to find one GOLDEN EGG.  Those children who find a golden egg will receive an extra prize.

Trunk or Treat

In the fall members of the congregation decorate their cars and pass out candy.  We start the kids off in our Family Life Center with a bounce house, games, and food.  The children then line up and visit cars decorated as everything from a beach complete with a mermaid to a car similar to Lightning McQueen, a Drive-up Window where the kids got to pick their own favorite treat,  and Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory complete with our version of Veruca Salt.  The possibilities are endless for the creative thinker to decorate their car and hand out treats to the kids.

Christmas

Christmas is always a time of wonder and amazement and children are told about the birth of Jesus.  Kids went home this last year with a bag filled with goodies to make a cake to celebrate Jesus’ birthday, a  story of Jesus booklet, puzzle, candy and more.
