New to Emmanuel?

Kyler Welch, Worship and Music Director

At Emmanuel, there is no dress code. Feel free to dress up, or come in jeans and a favorite t-shirt, whatever makes you comfortable.  If you are visiting for the first time, we encourage you to stop by the Welcome Center, just outside the sanctuary, where you can visit with a member of our Hospitality Team and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Two opportunities for worship are offered each Sunday morning. At 9 a.m., worship is a thoughtful, blended mix of hymnody, liturgy, and new songs.  At 10:30 a.m., worship is a more informal mix of new songs and hymnody reinterpreted for a new generation.  We encourage you to give each a try to determine the best fit for you and your family.

To get you started, here is what you need to know about Emmanuel:

One of the most important things any church does is gather for corporate worship.  With a rich variety of worship expressions, churches all over the world come together and bring praise to our Heavenly Father.  This expression is both corporate and intimately personal.

At Emmanuel, we value getting the whole family involved and offer child care (children under 3) and children’s programming at 9 and 10:30 a.m.  Students’ programming is offered at 10:30 a.m.  All ages are welcome in the main worship services.

We believe it is important to pursue lifelong learning.  That is why we start our youngest children through adults on a growth path that involves incremental learning and life application.  We call these learning opportunities Go Learn groups.  Some might feel more like a Sunday School class, others like a life group, and others are structured like a Bible study.

In the context of developing relationships with others in your Go Learn group, we believe real life change happens.  This is where you develop friends who can pray for you, care for you, and miss you when you don’t show up.

Adult classes and children’s programming are offered at both 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Opportunities for adults to learn outside of worship exist through Sunday school classes and small groups that meet throughout the week.

We love our volunteers at Emmanuel and encourage everyone to use their spiritual gifts to serve within the church. Throughout the year, we offer a course called “Finding Your PLACE in Ministry” that explores how your personality, spiritual gifts, abilities, passions and life experiences have prepared you for ministry.

Emmanuel provides many mission opportunities for you to put your faith in action. In our local community, we offer coordinated outreach projects. In our nation, we plan mission trip opportunities for students and adults. Emmanuel also supports a number of international missionaries.
